Philip Moore, Jr. Stone House


The Stone House is located off State Route 239 in West Portsmouth. The home opens its door to many visitors each year who want a glimpse of home life in one of southern Ohio's few primitive homes remaining intact. The ancient blocks were carved from a ledge of rock only a stone's throw away and still brings attention more than two hundred years after they were laid. The building is available for a meeting space and its features include:a full service kitchen, phone service and Internet. Seats: approximatey 40 people. Great Tour for motorcoach operators!
