Philip Moore, Jr. Stone House

The Stone House is located off State Route 239 in West Portsmouth. The home opens its door to many visitors each year who want a glimpse of home life in one of southern Ohio's few primitive homes remaining intact. The ancient blocks were carved from a ledge of rock only a stone's throw away and still brings attention more than two hundred years after they were laid.
